Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our attorneys, paralegals, and operations team to manage a caseload, and provide exceptional legal guidance to clients navigating complex immigration processes.
This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, including but not limited to O-1, H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-1, PERM, and NIW cases.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on immigration strategy, compliance, and documentation.
- Prepare and review petitions, applications, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide exceptional client service by communicating regularly with clients providing updates, collecting information, and addressing questions.
- Conduct client meetings to gather information, explain processes, and address questions.
- Collaborate with paralegals and other team members to ensure timely and efficient case handling.
- Stay current with changing immigration laws, policies, and trends.
- Draft legal correspondence, including responses to RFEs, appeals, and case updates.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
- Bar admission in at least one state or jurisdiction.
- 2+ years of business immigration experience required.
- Experience with O-1, EB-1, NIW and PERM cases.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including excellence in virtual communication tools.
- The position requires exceptional computer and software competencies. Extensive hands-on experience with INSZoom case management software is strongly preferred.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
